Eliminating Rules restrict your schedule, by eliminating employees from being allowed on any given time block. Any eliminating rule can be broken by a manager, but not by the auto-scheduler, and not by an employee attempting a swap or sign up. When time block editors are in show conflicts mode, any eliminating rules that are being broken will show in red on each time block with such a conflict. On every topic below, "Show conflicts abbreviation" describes what the system displays to show you that there is a conflict in the corresponding rule.

Please note that you should never add both rules together in the system, you should determine which one to go by and add it. Employees can declare their availability in the My Availability page.
