ENTER SCHEDULE BY EMPLOYEE

Whether you currently have your schedule on a spreadsheet, or handwritten on a calendar, the easiest way to get your schedule into WSDN is to replicate one of your scheduled weeks that is somewhat typical. You can make changes on weekly basis later. Entering shifts (time blocks) for all your employees in the recurring schedule may take some time depending on your company setup, but remember, you only do this once, and then you use it as a starter for each week of your schedule.

You can always add more employees in the Users area.

1. Sort your schedule by Employee by choosing Employee from the "sort by" drop down menu, and then clicking Update:

2. Click on View | Show all main groups to see all your employees:

1_16_08h

3. All your employees' names will be displayed on the left hand side.

4. Start adding every employee's schedule by clicking on the employees name, and choose Add new time blocks

5. Enter necessary information for each time block and click Submit:

6. The shifts  are added to the recurring schedule as separate time blocks:

7. Repeat this for all your employees.

What if you make a mistake, or need to adjust something?

See Using the time block editors for information on how to make adjustments to the schedule by adding, removing, and changing time blocks. Generally, these functions work the same in both the recurring and current schedules.

This concludes step 1 in creating the schedule for the first time.

Go to step 2: Initialize your current week
