There are two different types of rules WSDN: eliminating rules and preference rules.
By adding rules, you can instruct WSDN exactly how to decide which employees can be assigned to specific time blocks (eliminating rules), and also what make one employee "better" for a time block than another employee (preference rules).
See Eliminating Rules and Preference Rules for a list of currently available rules in WSDN that you can choose to add.
To setup rules, click on Rules on the left-side menu.
The following screen is displayed: (please note that only the rules that you have previously added or chosen in the setup wizard show on the screen)
Click on the drop down menu on the right side to display and setup Eliminating and/or Preference rules:
To add a new rule, make sure the drop down menu on the right side displays the type of rules that you want to add, then click the
Choose the rule you want to add from the drop down menu, and specify the options you want.
