The purpose of the Swap feature is to allow employees to trade shifts between each other. All rules added to the company's account are enforced when employees attempt to swap shifts.
If the Administrator allows shift swapping in the General Options, the employees will see the Swap link in the Standard menu.
Once employees click on Swap, the current schedule is displayed. All shifts that are assigned to the employee have the word Give added, so he or she can give up the shift for any other employee. All other time blocks who have been given away by other employees are marked with the word Take.
To take a shift, employees should:
1. Click on Take to send a request to take this shift. The confirmation message will appear:
2. Click on "send your request" to proceed; click on "withdraw your request" to cancel their request.
To give a shift, employees should:
1. Click on Give to give up your shift. The confirmation message will appear:
2. Click on "send your request" to proceed; click on "withdraw your request" to cancel their request.
3. The following confirmation message will appear once the request is sent:
