Modifying an availability time block


Applies to current and recurring availability.

To modify a single availability time block, simply click on the word "Change" on the time block you want to modify.





Then you will see something like this:


The box next to "Modify" will be automatically checked when you change anything inside the light gray shaded area. If you change your mind and decide not to add this time block, you may uncheck the box and it will be ignored. If you want to remove the time block, you can do so by checking the box next to the word "Remove"

You can see the employee that this availability time block refers to. If you want to change the employee you can choose a different employee from the drop down list.

You can see whether this time block indicates that the employee is AVAILABLE or UNAVAILABLE for the time period. You may change this information here. If you are set up for employee preferences, you can also declare the time block, PREFERRED or ONLY IF NEEDED, both of which will be considered available. However, when auto-scheduling, the auto-scheduler will choose to schedule an employee who has preferred to work, over one who has preferred NOT to work.

You can see and change the start time and the end time for the period of time declared either available or unavailable. You may change this information here. Examples of acceptable time entries are "7p", "5:30am", and "4:23p". Minutes are not necessary when indicating a time that is on the hour. The "am" or "pm" can be abbreviated with an "a" or a "p". Military time is not yet accepted.

End times MAY NOT extend past midnight and into the next day. All availability time blocks must end on the same day they start. An availability time block can be up to exactly 24 hours long from start to end.

You will see the date at the bottom that this time block applies to. You can change the date here by choosing from the drop down list.

If you change your mind, you can click the cancel button to discard all changes on the page. Click any submit button when you are done, to add the time block(s) on the page.
