Schedule Wizard

The Schedule Wizard can help you walk through the steps needed to schedule, but for some this may be overkill. We suggest that you try it, and see if it works for you. If not, every step in the wizard can be accomplished outside of the wizard. When you are done scheduling one week, you have the option to continue scheduling more weeks as far ahead into the future as you wish. Although the Schedule Wizard handles one week at a time, there is absolutely no limit on how far ahead in time you can schedule.

Here is what the Schedule Wizard does for you :

You can choose the week you want to schedule. It defaults to the first week you have not yet published. Also, if you wish, you can choose to schedule only a sub section of the schedule (for example, only one location)

If using employee availability features, it makes sure your employee availability is accurate and gives you a chance to adjust it before continuing.

Places all recurring shifts from the Recurring Schedule into the week of the Current Schedule that you are working on.

Lets you make adjustments to the week of the Current Schedule you are working on.

(Optional) Automatically assigns employees to any OPEN (unassigned) shifts based on your rules.

Shows you any conflicts with your rules. (Examples of conflicts with rules are: Employees over maximum hours, over the too many days in a row, not enough time between shifts, etc.) You decide what the rules are in the Rules section.)

Once you've made sure the week's schedule meets your satisfaction, the Schedule Wizard will publish the schedule to the end of the week. Publishing the schedule means that the employees will be able to access the schedule through the end of the week you have just completed scheduling, by email, web, and/or phone.

To start the Schedule Wizard, simply click on "Schedule a week" on the main menu, or the left pane. Follow the step by step instructions that appear in the left pane.

At any point during the process you can quit and get back to the Main Menu by clicking the link at the bottom of the left pane, "Back to Main Menu".

At any point during the process you can restart the Setup Wizard by clicking the link at the bottom of the left pane, "Start Over".

Help is available for each step.

When you are done, you can either print the schedule, email the schedule, and/or start scheduling the next week, by clicking on the appropriate links.

You can quit at any time by clicking "Back to Menu" at the bottom of the left pane.
