Tip Tuesday – Multiple Wages
Welcome back to Tip Tuesday! This week we will be talking about how to easily change the wage for an employee depending upon what task they are working in for each shift.
There is a simple trick to use so that if you have an employee switching between tasks, they can have a different hourly wage for each. This is great for employees that do many different things at your business. Primarily if that task requires the employee to be payed more or less.
This can be done for any category you have in your account, whether it’s a custom category or one that we have provided. First off, you have to use the payroll option for that category. This can be set by going to categories and checking off the payroll option. This needs to be done before you actually go into the user and change their wage for any tasks.
Select Tasks and Wages
In each user’s record there is a place to add new task qualifications. When adding these qualifications, you should now be able to edit the Pay Rate for every task that the user is qualified for. You can add more tasks here or delete some, but you will be able to have a different wage for every task.
This is very effective for customizing your personal WorkSchedule.Net Account. This way you don’t have to have one set hourly wage for your employees. The possibilities are endless because you can add new categories and edit the payroll according to each option within any category. This means you can change the payroll for different departments, for different times of day, and so on. Plus, you can make these different for every user! Using this tip, will help you get the most out of your account.
